Word search maker for language classes
A word search in the language you teach, from a checked word list, in three levels. Every Generate makes a new grid with the same words, so the class next door can have a different one.
Three levels
Easy runs words across and down only, on a 10 by 10 grid. Medium adds diagonals on 13 by 13. Hard hides words in every direction, backwards included, on 15 by 15.
Accented letters stay in the grid as they are written: ñ, é, ç are letters in their own right, so pupils have to spell the word properly to find it.
Find the word, or find the translation
The list under the grid can be the words themselves, for recognition, or their English meanings, so pupils have to recall the word before they can look for it.
The key
The answer key is a separate page with every word marked in the grid. The pupils' sheet carries no answers, so it can go straight into Google Classroom or a homework pack.
